It’s finally feeling like fall here in Los Angeles–at least throughout the AM (which is a big win for us)! By noon, it’s still in the 80’s but we’ll take it! To celebrate, I pulled out some of our favorite chunky knits and other cozy pieces this week. Naiya actually ended up putting today’s look together herself–mainly because she wouldn’t let these boots go because they double as one of her favorite toys. Sharing how to style chunky knits this season and where to snag one of my favorite sweaters in a few different colors. Topping off today’s post with one of the cutest baby moto jackets we’ve ever seen and of course where to snag Naiya’s handmade booties!
Just as temperatures started to drop over the weekend here in Los Angeles and I pulled out ALL the cozy sweaters, LA decided to hit us with another almost 90 degree day. While I’m definitely not complaining about the beautiful summery weather here, the schizophrenic temps are not always easy to keep up with outfit-wise. Since Madewell is my go-to store for comfy basics throughout all seasons, I’m sharing where to snag my favorite must-have versatile pieces of the moment for fall. The best part? Many of these pieces are currently on sale for 30% off an already discounted price using the code “ORDERUP.” These basics are perfect for layering (if LA ever allows us to get there!).
Happy Thursday! ShopBop is having a big sale right now that you can’t miss! For your shopping pleasure, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite looks that you can scoop up at a great discount for the next three days. Today, I’m wearing a few of my my favorite ShopBop looks: a classic black fedora, nude heels (I’m also loving this pair here), distressed black skinny jeans, round sunnies and a black embroidered top (similar here, here and here).
I hope everyone had such a wonderful Thanksgiving! We had a great time celebrating on the east coast with family. A few days before the holiday, we flew into Manhattan to spend a couple of days exploring the city and visiting friends before heading upstate for turkey day. We were really nervous to fly with Naiya for the first time–mainly because we had no idea how she would react on the plane. She’s not a good napper and always wants to be held and walked around–neither of which work well for travel.
This zip-up cardigan was the first thing I bought on my first hour-long shopping trip with a friend after having Naiya. I had been going through major shopping withdrawal (not to mention I’d been going completely stir-crazy stuck at home for so many weeks!) as I continued to heal from my c-section. We popped into Free People because it was the closest clothing store to my house and I so badly wanted to be able to shop but also get back to feed Naiya quickly.
