How is this the last day of 2019? 2018 flew by quicker than any year I can remember. I started 2018 as an anxious new mama cradling a tiny four month old baby wondering how I’d ever go back to work. Now I have a walking, spunky 16 month old and I’ve found my new normal (usually!)! Excited to take a look back at 2018 below with our favorite outfits and an ever-growing Naiya.
Happy Thanksgiving! We’re so excited to round up our favorite Black Friday sales from a very chilly New York today. After having a big family meal with three generations this afternoon, we can’t wait to bundle up on the couch this evening to shop away. Sharing where to snag some of our favorite steals and deals today and tomorrow, as well as where to scoop up our outfits from right before we left sunny California. We’re definitely not dressed like this today! We’re currently wearing about 50 more layers for sure and we’re freezing our buns off! Naiya is looking a lot like the main character from “A Christmas Story” who is so bundled up, he basically falls right over. Hardcore #Californiamom vibes over here! I’m so obsessed with keeping my mini extra warm out here that I’ve probably gone a bit overboard.
I’m so excited to finally share Naiya’s unicorn-themed first birthday photos with you today! Our little cutie had the best time running around a local park to celebrate her big day with her closest friends and family. If only this outfit would fit her for the next five years straight–I’d honestly be down! Also, do they make this in my size? Today, I’m sharing all of the party details and some tips we learned along the way to help you throw the ultimate first birthday party too. Get ready for a lengthy post! There were so many fun photos of Naiya, I honestly had trouble pairing them down!
Phil and I recently took the plunge into international travel with Naiya. Thanks to some very helpful advice we learned beforehand as well as some experimentation on our own, our trip went so much smoother than we ever expected. Sharing some of our favorite photos from our recent trip to Prague as well as four ways we survived our 18+ hour travel days with our ever-moving toddler.
Growing up in upstate New York, I always looked forward to fall because I loved pulling out all the layers and textures to celebrate the change of season. Living in Los Angeles where temperatures barely drop below 70 degrees this time of year, we have to get more creative with our “fall” looks so that we’re not constantly sweating profusely. Sharing a fall outfit I’ve been wearing on repeat recently and how to use texture to style it regardless of the temps outside.
