I can’t believe how quickly December is flying by and that Naiya is officially 15 months old! She just made it through her first ear infection this week so we’ve been laying low. For the girl who almost always sleeps on schedule, putting her to bed this week was a million times harder! I’d put her in her crib half asleep and she’d wake right up and cry her eyes out while she clinged to me for dear life. Now that she’s on the mend, I’m excited to finally be able to sleep tonight without staring at the baby monitor every five minutes (new mamas, you know what I mean!). Sharing our latest outfit post with you today featuring one of my favorite skirts of the moment and the cutest hand-embroidered blue and white dress on Naiya. Scroll down to the bottom of this post for a 15 month baby update too.
Growing up in upstate New York, I always looked forward to fall because I loved pulling out all the layers and textures to celebrate the change of season. Living in Los Angeles where temperatures barely drop below 70 degrees this time of year, we have to get more creative with our “fall” looks so that we’re not constantly sweating profusely. Sharing a fall outfit I’ve been wearing on repeat recently and how to use texture to style it regardless of the temps outside.
When I first found out I was pregnant, I was convinced I was having a boy. Even when our ultra sound technician and OB confirmed that we were having a girl, I still couldn’t believe it. It wasn’t until Naiya finally came out that I realized it was time to start accessorizing away. I hadn’t bought a thing for her yet at that point and I couldn’t wait to start. Naiya’s style has since run the gamut from completely gender-neutral all the way to full-out girly girl. Today, we went with the latter and accessorized with all pink everything because I couldn’t help myself. Sharing a mom and baby look with you today that I’m already excited to look back on someday.
Every woman needs a bright slinky maxi dress in their closet this spring. When I saw this one at Zara a few weeks back, I had to have it (similar here, only $36!). I love its vibrant color (which is very on-trend this spring) and the fact that I can dress it up for date night or down for comfy weekends at home with Naiya.
Sharing an outfit post from this past weekend where I was wearing a floral dress and my favorite cat eye sunnies of the moment. I’m loving this dress because even though it has a floral pattern, its dark color is still great for winter. I’ve been adding a lot of flowy dresses like this one to my wardrobe recently because they’ll be perfect transition pieces for spring. I had the best weekend with Naiya and the fam. Phil and I took her to her first swim class and watching her in the water was the cutest thing.
